In this interactive
course, you will become versed in the many facets of assessment collection as
it relates to the community manager. Learn how Civil Code and other laws and
regulations influence the association's efforts to collect.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Develop an
understanding of the legal requirements for an association's assessment
collection practices, including the collection policy and annual notice;
- Become familiar with
the community manager's role in the collection of delinquent assessments. This
includes the first steps to take for a delinquent account; the requirements for
offering and providing alternative dispute resolution; the advantages, disadvantages
and processes as they apply to a variety of collection method; and how homeowner
bankruptcies affect collections.
