This interactive course
provides a broad overview of the CID industry and specific requirements to meet
your community's expectations, including: community association definitions and
types; client relations and communications; volunteer roles and operations;
governing document structure; financial management obligations; fair housing
guidance; insurance practices and managing special projects with third-party
service providers.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Explain the origins of
CIDs and discuss the future growth outlook;
- Discuss the key roles
of a community manager and various ways to build his/her skills and competencies;
- Explain the roles and
responsibilities of the board, officers, manager and outside experts;
- List the governing
documents of the association and their order of hierarchy;
- Understand how federal
and state fair housing regulations
affect HOAs;
- Understand the
creation and amendment process for operating rules;
- Understand how to make
office space, files and computers more efficient and secure;
- List key financial
reports and terms required in the daily financial operations of the
association;
- Know the types of
insurance coverage required to protect an association;
- Effectively diffuse or
resolve conflict or difficult conversations; and
- Take steps to run an
effective project, from defining the requirements to final inspection and
payment.

an introductory course required of members pursuing their initial CCAM
certification.
